West Gate of the Roman Fort Divitia, 4th–5th Century AD
The West Gate of the fort, facing the Rhine, was partially excavated by the Romano-Germanic Museum in 2014–2015. A corner of one of the two gate towers of the West Gate has been brought to light. The extant walls protrude only slightly above the present ground level of the Rhine boulevard. A specifically built structure protects the ancient remains from the elements.
