Tower of the Roman Fort Divitia, 4th–5th Century AD
The northeastern corner (marked in red) of the former Benedictine monastery of Deutz is built on top of the northeastern corner of the Roman Fort Divitia. It is unclear how long the fort was in military use. Up until about the middle of the 5th century, Frankish troops in the service of Rome were still stationed there.
