Current

Prehistory(ies) – Cologne in illiterate times

Starting on the 4th of April 2017

,Living near the river’ is the device for hunters and gatherers since the Middle Stone Age, for the first tillers and stock farmers, for the settlers of Bronze- and Iron Age in Rhineland. People of different prehistoric cultures were using the various possibilities of settlement on both sides of the wild and powerful river, also near Cologne.
The Römisch-Germanische Museum presents a wide selection of mainly never shown finds of Cologne in prehistoric times in the entrance hall.
